House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul was arrested at Reagan National Airport in Virginia on Monday night after Transportation Security Administration agents said they observed him appearing intoxicated and unsteady on his feet. The Texas Republican was charged with driving while intoxicated after his blood alcohol level was found to be over the legal limit, police said. McCaul was released on his own recognizance after spending several hours in custody. He has not commented on the arrest. The incident comes as the House is set to vote this week on a resolution to censure Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) for posting an anime video depicting violence against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).
