NASA updates concerns over potentially “catastrophic” space station leaks. Earlier this month, a small crack was discovered in a Russian module on the space station. While astronauts have temporarily sealed the hole, NASA now states that it could potentially lead to a “catastrophic” loss of air or oxygen pressure. Station managers are currently assessing the best way to permanently fix the leak. In the meantime, they have decided to vent the leaking module every day to reduce pressure.
