Once labeled China’s “worst nightmare,” Han Dongfang remains unwavering in his activism despite decades of suppression. Known for organizing workers’ protests in the 1980s, he was imprisoned and forced into exile. Upon his return to China in 2011, he continued to advocate for labor rights, citizen journalism, and human rights documentation. Despite government surveillance and restrictions, Han remains resolute in his belief that citizens have a responsibility to challenge injustice and strive for a more just and equitable society.
